Vom Schal bis zum Leibchen - Gewebt und gefilzt Web- und Filzkurs für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene. 09.02.2007 bis 11.02.2007 Wir werden auf einfachen Webrahmen lockere Gewebe aus verschiedenen Materialien (Seide, Wolle, Leinen...) weben und diese anschließend mit pflanzengefärbter Wolle zu Schals, Leibchen oder anderen flächigen Stücken filzen. Experimentelles Arbeiten ist möglich. Kursleitung: Filzkünstler István Vidák und Weberin Nina Clausen Kurskosten 160,-€ (zzgl. ca. 30,-€ Materialkosten, die vor Ort zu entrichten sind) Mindestteilnehmerzahl 8, max. 12 Teilnehmer Kurszeiten: ca. 20 Unterrichtsstunden Kursort: Kiel (Deutschland)

Am 14. Oktober 2006 ab 15.00 Uhr finden im Rahmen der Designausstellung ENTRY2006 in der Halle 6 auf dem Weltkulturerbe Zollverein in Essen Vorträge und Präsentationen seitens der Hochschule für Kunst und Design Helsinki im Rahmen der Reihe CAMPUS statt: Die Textildesignerin und Dekanin der Hochschule, Frau Prof. Helena Hyvönen, stellt „Funktionales Design und neue Materialien – aktuelle Innovationen in der finnischen Designforschung“ vor. Im Anschluss diskutiert Heidi Grönman „Design und Trendvorhersage – Zähmung des Designs?“. Die Vorträge werden in englischer Sprache gehalten. Eintritt frei. Kontakt: valentin@agz-essen.de

The Birmingham Branch of the Embroiderers' Guild is holding an exciting exhibition to celebrate 100 years of the Guild.
